The Best of Rhythmajik Part 2: Final Show! Thanks for listening!

The Best of Rhythmajik Part 1: The Early Years, 1994-97

Happy New Year! The Best of 2001 presented this evening. Two more episodes of Rhythmajik left!

Thanks for tuning in throughout Y2001. That's right, no worldwide computer-related catastrophes yet! Eating crow, or still eating baked beans, my friend? Still can't get enough of the Hi-Fidelity Dub Sessions Vol. 3 compilation. Plus, the new Solex album is a fine addition to the mix.
Yep, that was an interview with Pigface at the start of the show. Thank you Ms. Suspiria. Music, you say? Newer fine items by The Other People Place and, by golly, Human League (!!!) were played this evening.
If you're looking for a holiday CD for that special hip beatser someone, then I can heartily recommend the recent Urban Revolutions compilation from the Future Primitive Sound label.
Picks tonight: Eastern Dub Tactic and the compilation, Night Owls 01.
Hello, how are you?
Prior to the nation's Day of Engorgement whilst at War, most excellent songs were played from Ben Wa, Brothomstates, and the Urban Revolutions compilation from Future Primitive Sound label (again).
Fine tunes tonight from Electric Skychurch, Dead Can Dance (the 1981-1998 box), The New Deal, plus the compliations Urban Revolution from Future Primitive Sound and the new Hi-Fidelity Dub Sessions 3. Listen

TELETHON WEEK! Thanks to all the avid listeners who donated!
Highly worthy of esteemed listening: Halou, Dntel, DJ Krush, Two Lone Swordsmen, Charles Webster, Mira Calix, and Yat-Kha.
Notables this week: Interfearence and the Mush label compilation, Filmstrip (Frame 1).
This week's picks were based on listener response: Aphex Twin's Drukqs, M2's Parsec, plus tracks from the Sunset Magnetic North and Arabian Travels compilations. Listen
Scads of new music came in this past week. Listen up to this week's archive before it's gone! The archived show resets each week at the start of the new show.
More of the same. But new and improved! Get some today! Only $19.99! You deserve it, don't you?
What's new? Couch and the domestically released Joy Division 4-CD box, Heart and Soul. Plus the new Twilight Circus Dub Sound System. Roots, man. Roots. Listen
Perhaps the new releases tonight by Tweaker, Lu, and Telefon Tel Aviv have helped you deal with the anger of your fellow Americans and may have even helped soothe the pain of their crashing egos.

Sometimes I misplace things and find them later. I was likely preoccupied with the previous day's events.
New picks: Lush Life Electronica, Simian, Metrovavan, Bombay 2: Electric Vindaloo, and, oh, sure, the Butthole Surfers. Also, The Merkin Dream continues to surprise with a variety of slights and sounds. Listen
Breaking up is easy to do.
Picks this week: The Crystal Method, The Merkin Dream, Tweaker, Bjork, Cheb Mami, Batidos. Amen™! Listen
New releases played enthusiastically this week from these artists: Ruby's remix album, Uberzone, and Arling and Cameron. Listen
Let us say again that Cevin Key and Karsh Kale were highlights this evening, with Black Lung and Dhol Foundations the new picks.
Tonight I found these artists humbly gratifying: Stereolab, Cevin Key, Karsh Kale, plus the Critical Bandwidth compilation was succinctly satisfying. Listen

Señor Coconut! Señor Coconut! Señor Coconut!
Featuring Jack Dangers new release, Hello Friends on Tino Corp, released on Shadow Records.
Hellooo, internet listeners! Tell me where you're listening from!
Check out Ladytron's "Another Breakfast with You" for a bittersweetly romantic VDay song!
WRUW is back up to the normal 1000 watts. Pardon the technical difficulties. 15,000 watts coming soon!
Definitely mellowing on the longer tracks.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, mmmellllowwww.
Our live MP3 stream is back and running! If you're frustrated with our temporary decrease in wattage for the over-the-air broadcast (hey, WE certainly are), then you can listen to WRUW on your computer by going here.

Happy New Year! Has anyone finished all those cans of baked beans and jugs of distilled water yet from last year's Y2K debacle? I didn't think so. Now go make yerself another spam casserole.

Pardon our dust for the 50-watt signal you've been getting. We needed to get a new part for our new transmitter after it was installed. We should be back up to the usual 1000 watts soon.
What a positively groovin' set! Per your requests, each week, I'm making note of my picks each week -- though everything the past few months has been quite festively on.
12/06/00
Station off-air due to transmitter upgrade. There will be technical difficulties here and there once it's installed. This is a precursor to getting our new tower installed, then we can go from 1000 to 15,000 watts (finally)!
